Israeli Navy

Surface Combatants | Undersea Fleet

The Israeli coastline results in vessels designed for the littoral and shoreline environments. As such, the largest commissioned types are corvettes in displacement, size, and role, encompassing six hulls across two classes. Beyond this is a collection of fast-responding missile boats, patrol craft, and assault craft - revealing a focus on defense of the Israeli shoreline and shipping lanes. The navy force numbers over 100 active vessels.

NOTES: Even as the Dolphin 2-class boats come online, the original Dolphin-class submarines are to be replaced by the Dakar-class beginning in the early 2030s. Saar 4.5-class ships are 1990s updates to the 1970s Saar 4-class types. The class will be formally superceded by the Reshef-class before the end of the 2020s. The Israeli Navy also fields a collection of unmanned armed patrol vehicles.
