Israel Army vehicular solutions center on the combat-proven Merkava Main Battle Tank (MBT). Beyond this is a broad assortment of tracked and wheeled vehicle designs originating both locally and from the United States. This includes the venerable M113 APC as well as the M109 SPH supported by light utility / light-armored designs to create a well-balanced, mobile fighting force. Beyond support for troop advances and defense, the branch also fields tank-killing solutions and a large fleet of support, engineering, and air defense vehicles. Decades of fighting in urban environments has resulted in several designs dedicated to the Heavy APC role, offering ehanced protection to combat-ready occupants.

NOTES: Around 1,000 Merkava tanks are held in storage and can be revitalized for active service. Some vehicles are reconstituted from aging or captured enemy systems: the Achzarit is built atop the Soviet T-54 tank while the Nagmachon, Nakpadon, and Nakpuma reuse the aging British Centurion tank drive gear.
