Israeli Armed Forces (Manpower)
Fighting Land Forces | By-the-Numbers
Israeli infantry forces have access to a broad collection of local and foreign-originated small arms. This includes semi-automatic service pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, rifles, and machine guns. While the classis Galil is still utilized, the bullpup-arranged Tavor series has taken its place. General Purpose machine guns and grenade launchers are fielded as support weapons. Both traditional sniper rifles and modern Designated Marksman Rifles equip sharpshooters for precision, ranged fire. Hand grenades run the gamut of fragmentation and concussive types. Shoulder-fired rocket launchers are also present as bunker-busters and anti-armor measures.
